In this 3-week workshop series you will learn how to create a digital archive website using CollectionBuilder, a template built using free, open-source software. The series will cover web development and methodologies for working with digital images and documents. You’ll learn the technical skills required to build a digital humanities project and tell interpretive stories using digital special collections. This workshop series is appropriate for anyone who wants to learn to build their own digital humanities project that centers storytelling with digital collections, whether for a class or grant project. You should be comfortable learning new things, but no prior experience with web design and working with data is required.
What do you need to know and do before the workshop?
- Workshop materials will be provided.
- You do not need to bring your own digital collections materials.
- No experience is required.
- This workshop will be remote and offered over Zoom.
