Virtual Evening Talk: Traditional Santoor Music and Persian Culture

Thursday, May 28 at 6:00pm

Join master artist Hossein Salehi, 2019 recipient of Oregon Folklife Network’s Traditional Artist Apprenticeship Program award, for an evening of traditional Persian music. Along with music from the Santoor, Hossein and apprentice Alireza Talebannejad will share stories of Persian culture and discuss the importance of passing on cultural traditions.

To help slow the spread of COVID-19, all museum events will be held virtually until further notice. Tune in to the museum's Facebook page at 6:00 p.m. on May 21 to watch live and join in the Q&A. You can also catch the video on our YouTube channel after it airs live.
