Virtual Evening Talk: The 40th Anniversary of the Eruption of Mount St. Helens

The 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens inspired a wave of new questions among Earth and systems scientists about risk assessment, prediction, and recovery. Join Ruby McConnell, author of Ground Truth: A Geological Survey of a Life and A Woman's Guide to the Wild, as she revisits this chapter in Pacific Northwest history and discusses its lessons about preparedness and resilience on our rapidly changing planet.
