STEM Careers in Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs – Making an Impact in the Worl

Connect with Diplomat in Residence, Dara Yin, to learn more about STEM opportunities with the U.S. Department of State.

Many individuals don’t realize the breadth of issues that the U.S. Department of State handles throughout the globe. Talented individuals with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) backgrounds are needed to represent America, and deal with the many STEM issues that contribute to our security and our prosperity. You can travel and experience other cultures, while making a difference in the world using your STEM background!

Diplomat in Residence Northwest, Dara Yin, (https://careers.state.gov/connect-with-a-diplomat/northwest/) will answer your questions on how STEM education and experience are highly valued at the U.S. Department of State. He will discuss how to pursue diverse STEM careers in policy areas or applied work in IT and cybersecurity; construction engineering and facility maintenance; environment, science, technology, and health policy; security engineering; and family practice medical services.
