Doug Hart, Skolkovo Foundation Professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, will discuss the role of universities in entrepreneurial endeavors, in a talk titled, "Ideas to Impact: The Third Option." Hart is the co-founder of three venture-backed biotechnology companies and has a history of successful inventions from within and outside of academia. He serves as a technical advisor for numerous companies and has been involved in the commercial development of technologies ranging from satellite propulsion and unmanned drones to surgical robots.
