 ael Abdalla.\n\nBrazilian bass player and composer Rafael Abdalla has been
  one of the most active musicians in the Brazilian music scene over the la
 st ten years. He has recorded four albums as a leader and has participated
  in over 20 other instrumental albums. As a sideman\, composer and arrange
 r  he has worked with some of the most important musical figures in Brazil
  including Raul de Souza\, Leo Gandelman\, Paulo Moura\, Rogério Boccato\
 , Vinicius Dorin\,  Zé Renato\, Vânia Bastos\, Paulo Freire\, Nenê\, Mi
 chel Leme\, Lupa Santiago Hercules Gomes among others.\n\nThe UO Small Jaz
 z Ensembles will also open the evening with a free "early bird" set from 5
 :00 pm – 6:30 pm.
