Part I – Searching for the Bag
There is a scholarship out there for everyone! The hard part is finding the one for you. The Financial Wellness Center is here to help you apply for the right scholarship and strategically search for them outside of the UO. We will guide you through setting up scholarship profiles with the UO’s Scholarship Dashboard. We suggest you have your laptop or tablet handy to follow along and begin your search for additional scholarships!
Part II – Telling Your Story
When it comes to scholarships, you already have everything you need — your own story! However, it can be tricky to tell it. The Financial Wellness Center invites you to learn how to tell your story in a compelling and concise way. Together, we will focus on writing a scholarship essay that will catch the attention of scholarship committees. We’ll also give you tips and strategies that will aid you with highlighting your strengths. Completing this session should increase your confidence in your ability to effectively explain your story for your scholarship essay. Bring your laptop or pen and paper and be prepared to generate ideas!
