THEME Series: Lara Downes “Uncovering Lost Treasures”

THEME (which stands for theory, history, ethnomusicology, music education) is a colloquium series for SOMD’s academic music students. The series includes professional development workshops as well as featured speakers from these academic fields. In this session, Ms. Downes will speak about her experience uncovering a set of previously undiscovered music by composer Florence Price, and her collaboration with musicologist J.
