Join Kathleen Cleaver and Danny Glover for a roundtable discussion. Glover a former student activist and Cleaver, a former of leader in the Black Panther Party, played pivotal roles in the 1960s era activism that spawned Black Studies departments in colleges and universities across the U.S. The two will share their views about the important role of Black Studies, free speech, and student activism in transforming society. Hosted by Dr. Curtis Austin, Associate Professor in the Department of History and Director of the UO Black Studies Initiative.
Doors open at 6:30pm, event is free and open to the public.
