Oregon Bach Festival presents The Leipzig Connection

OBF Chamber Orchestra
Miguel Harth-Bedoya, conductor

“You cannot have Bach without Leipzig, or Leipzig without Bach,” says OBF artistic director candidate Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Fervor for the composer and his home led Harth-Bedoya to design a program honoring the impact that Bach and Leipzig had on generations of composers including Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Wagner. The event also features the U.S. premiere of Bernd Franke's Yellow Clouds.

This event is sponsored by Rowell Brokaw Architects and KWAX Classical Oregon.

In accordance with state mandates, as of 6/14/22, OBF performance spaces do not require face masks, proof of vaccination, or negative COVID test for entry. However, given the rise in Lane County COVID cases, the University of Oregon recommends individuals wear masks indoors when around other people. These policies are subject to change as the Festival progresses.
