DESCRIPTION:The Digital Transformation Lab is an informal and inclusive gat
 hering for anyone interested in learning more about digital transformation 
 strategy in action. People of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome 
 to attend to learn about developing business efficiency and productivity th
 rough the implementation of digital technologies. Coffee and snacks will be
  provided.\n\nGatherings are in-person and typically include an introductio
 n to a topic related to digital transformation\, a real-world example of ho
 w it is enacted\, and opportunities for hands-on practice alongside members
  of the University of Oregon Foundation team.\n\nWhat is digital transforma
 tion?\n\nDigital transformation is the process of changing business practic
 es and culture across an organization to deliver value in new ways\, throug
 h digital technologies that increase efficiency and business agility. It ca
 n take many different paths\, depending on what the organization is trying 
 to achieve\, by introducing technologies such as big data\, cloud computing
 \, machine learning\, and more. Digital transformation also involves a sign
 ificant shift in culture\, processes\, and workflows\, which are just as cr
 itical as innovation and technology implementation in successful strategy e
 xecution.\n\nWhy should I care about digital transformation?\n\nDigital tec
 hnologies are changing the ways in which we do business\, from reshaping in
 dividual companies to disrupting entire industries. To remain competitive\,
  organizations need leaders who can leverage their understanding of the dig

 vironment. The UO Foundation's objective is to provide an opportunity for s
 tudents to apply their learning in the real world\, as well as offering men
 torship and support.\n\nDo I need any experience with digital transformatio
