By respecting the self as an animal, we make space for the opportunity to construct lives and cultures that in turn respect the infinite potential of being a creature. The creature is feral, a continual state of un-domestication, infinitely transitory. The creature is soft, inextricably tied to the needs of a mortal body. Leaving the clay raw respects the material as its own transitory creature. Take part in its un-domestication; rip, tear, dig, uproot, touch, smell, transform. Offer the clay a return to its own feral nature, and take in turn a feral identity.
