SWAT Workshop for Softball

Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 7:00pm to 8:30pm

The Sexual Wellness Advocacy Team (SWAT) is a group of students on campus who utilize theater and other interactive activities to start conversations about consent, healthy relationships, and sexual violence.

 

Our presentations include the following topics and are very interactive:

- What it means to be sex-positive and survivor-centered

- The definition of consent, according to S.W.A.T., the UO, and Oregon state law

- Demonstrations of healthy communication

- Listening to a story of sexual violence

- Interacting with and intervening in survivor-blaming speech

- Supporting friends

- Mandatory reporting

- Resources available to survivors on campus

- How intoxication can affect communication and consent

- Interactive bystander intervention skills practice
