Supervisor Round Table: Student Worker Unionization

The Student Employee Enhancement Initiative is hosting a Supervisor Round Table on the unionization effort being undertaken by UO student workers. This round table will provide student supervisors an opportunity to ask their questions, voice their concerns, and get some answers regarding their rights, responsibilities, and duties as supervisors as it relates to the current unionization process. This session will also be in a hybrid format, allowing supervisors to attend remotely. A zoom link will be provided shortly before the session begins, and participants will be able to ask questions and participate with those attending in-person.

We will be joined by Chris Meade--Director of Employee and Labor Relations for UO HR. Whilst he will be able to provide guidance on best practices and guidelines, this will be more of a listening session where supervisors can share their experiences, perspectives, and concerns. We encourage all student supervisors to attend, and will be providing an additional anonymous form for supervisors to submit questions. We expect this to be a well-attended event, so please make sure you register early.
