The Graduate Entrance Exams (GEE) in Music Theory, Aural Skills and History are mandatory for incoming music graduate students.

(NOTE: Students who are awarded a Graduate Employee (GE) position in music theory are exempt from the Music Theory & Aural Skills portion of the GEE.)

Passing the GEE determines eligibility for graduate-level music history and theory courses.

The Music Theory Entrace Exam will be available online starting Sunday 9/21/25 at 8:00 a.m. through Monday 9/22/25 at 8:00 p.m.
