Sharing is Caring!: How IPS can Help Your Research
About this Event
Modern research can benefit from sharing of information, data, and materials between you and your academic or industry colleagues. If you want to give or receive these research tools, Innovation Partnership Services (IPS; https://research.uoregon.edu/about/administrative-units/innovation-partnership-services) can help you achieve your research goals by implementing the appropriate agreement. Learn about the structure of confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs), data use agreements (DUAs), and material transfer agreements (MTAs) and when they should be used for your research. We will discuss some of the most common provisions in these agreements; how these provisions can impact how you can use what you receive; and how you can use these provisions to protect what you may want to share with other researchers.
There will be a drawing at the end of the talk for a $25 gift certificate to the Duck Store for two lucky attendees!
