Friday, May 21 at 12:00pmVirtual Event
Share with us a piece of art that you want on display at the Sex Talk Chronicles Art Show 2021 on a virtual platform relating to the theme “Intimacy: Into Me You See”. For example, how is intimacy affected during a time of isolation and social distancing? What are ways that you cope with that? What do you wish you knew about intimacy when you were younger? What does intimacy mean to you?
We will send you an anonymous submission from Sex Talk Chronicles to pair with your art, and ask that you use that as your Artist Statement. You will then be invited to reflect about how reading someone else's words and using them to create a piece made you feel and how you connected with them and created intimacy anonymously.
You can submit art of any media including painting, photography, sculpture, music, spoken word, acting, dancing, and anything else that can be recorded or photographed for a virtual art show experience. All levels and multiple submissions are welcome! To learn more information and apply, visit: https://oregon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_38mT50DSHtC3ANM.
All submissions must be in by WEDNESDAY, MAY 19TH. The event will go live on sexualhealth.uoregon.edu on Friday, May 21st.
We will be posting the link to the Prezi on our website at sexualhealth.uoregon.edu, on our social media (@protectconnect.pc and @healthyuo), and we will email the link out to Protection Connection users. Be sure to tune in on Friday, May 21st to check out your peers' art!
