http://outdoorprogram.uoregon.edu/adaptivesportsDo you love skiing almost as much as you love helping people? The Outdoor Program is looking for skilled and patient skiers to volunteer with Oregon Adaptive Sports, helping those with disabilities learn to ski. If that sounds like you, take advantage of this opportunity to get free transportation to Hoodoo, have a gratifying volunteer experience, and even get complimentary lift tickets. STEP ONE: Complete a new or returning volunteer application on the OAS Website. The OP will provide transportation for the following days: Training on Jan 8th, and Volunteer days on Jan 13th, Jan 27th, Jan 29th, Feb 10th, Feb 12th, Feb 24th, Feb 26th, Mar 10th. Choose whatever training day works for you (OP will only provide transportation on Jan 8th, but you are welcome to register for another training if you have transportation). After you receive training, you can volunteer on as many weekends as you're available!
Pre-trip & Information session: November 30th (IN THE PAST ~ just contact ellie, you can still volunteer!) to learn about OAS, training, and volunteer days sponsored by the OP. For more information, check out the OAS Website, or talk to Ellie Bartlett, Service Projects Coordinator.
