About this Event
955 E 13th Ave, Eugene, OR
Please join us on Thursday, April 11 (6-7pm in Lillis 132) for the latest installment of the History of Art and Architecture's Haseltine lecture series with guest speaker Dr. Katie Hornstein (Associate Professor, Dartmouth College).
Dr. Hornstein's talk, "Captive Subjects, Wild Images: Romantic Artists at the Museum at the Menagerie of the Museum of Natural History in Paris", draws from her recently published monograph Myth and Menagerie: Seeing Lions in the Nineteenth Century (Yale University Press, 2024) and is sure to be of interest to those working and thinking within the environmental humanities, especially animal studies.
