Revising your Scholarly Writing

We’ve all heard the notion that good academic writing is more about revising than drafting. By some estimates, the revision process should be between two-thirds and three-quarters of the entire writing process. We also, generally, understand that revision is where we “make the writing good.” But how do we do this? Is there a formula? Instructions? Are there rules for revising? While the quick answer may be, “no,” in this webinar, I want to offer a more complete answer to those questions by providing a basic framework for understanding and performing revision on your writing.
