About the Instructor:
Rik Frankel has been a Microsoft 365 and Power Platform administrator for the last six years. In addition to maintaining the Power Platform and Smartsheet offerings at the University of Oregon, Rik provides workplace modernization consulting to users across campus with a focus on SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI. He also supervises and provides mentorship to interns from both UO and Lane Community College, preparing them for careers in systems administration and data analytics.
Training Schedule:
- Two In-person sessions:
- Thursday, October 17th from 12pm-1pm. - In person, Chiles 323 (computer lab)
- Thursday, October 24th from 12pm-1pm - In person, Chiles 323 (computer lab)
- Remote Work exectations- This training will require 2-4 hours of outside project work with PowerBI.
Participants who attend both days of this program and fulfill all requirements are eligible to earn a digital microcredential in Power BI Essentials, validating your newly acquired skills. This portable and verifiable credential can be shared on platforms like LinkedIn, showcasing your expertise to potential employers and offering tangible proof of in-demand competencies.
