Virtual EventJoin us winter term as we host a series of speakers that are working to redefine the term “outdoorsy”. Often times the term “outdoorsy” seems exclusive to one demographic: straight, white men. Throughout the term we will be bringing in a variety of different speakers who will discuss creating and holding space in the Outdoors where often times their identities are not always welcome. Our first speaker will be drag queen and environmental activist Pattie Gonia, who will discuss her gender identity and expression in the outdoors. Pattie strives to create a more inclusive outdoors and inspire people to go outside, even if they’ve never been before. She truly embodies that being outdoors and fabulous are not mutually exclusive.
