RAIN Eugene Annual Showcase

Interested in startups? Come see three UO current/alum companies present their startup to the wider Eugene community.

Join us at the Hult Center to see the final presentations from the RAIN Eugene Accelerator Summer 2017 Cohort and a Keynote talk from Innovation Researcher Ian Hathaway. The Keynote will run from 5:30 - 6:00 (ish) followed by the individual 5 minute presentations from 7 companies. A reception will follow the event and will begin about 6:30-6:45.

The companies presenting will be:

Light Shield - creating eSports travel gear and accessories.

Veraison Solutions - providing marketing automation and customer engagement solutions for wineries.

Local Traffic - an electronic concierge service for hotel guests.

Aulaine Enterprises - a personal care products company focusing on specialty markets and products, beginning with Ink Defense Tattoo Care.

Collobos - The Presto platform protects up to 25% of IT's time and budget from waste.

Bliss Bridal - creating a better wedding experience.

Rthiwir - Hardware devices for full body Virtual Reality immersion.

Our keynote presentation will talk about the research into job creation, which indicates that Startups are the main driver of job creation in the United States. Creating job growth means focusing on Startups and creating the conditions where they can thrive.

About our Keynote speaker: Ian Hathaway is an experienced economist, strategic advisor, and writer. He has experience with entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation. His data-driven insights and communication style makes this complex material entertaining and thought-provoking to diverse audiences. Ian has also launched new ventures, helped young organizations get off the ground, and worked with established businesses to expand into new areas.
