In the face of urgent health inequities, how can architects address the social determinants of health?
Join Mariah Kiersey, Managing Principal, Ankrom Moisan Architects; Karen Kubey, UO School of Architecture & Environment Faculty Fellow in Design for Spatial Justice; and Dave Otte, Partner, Holst Architecture, for a conversation around Portland and New York built projects designed to support users’ physical and mental health, and where we might go from here. Learn about Blackburn Center, Ankrom Moisan’s newly opened Eastside development combining a health care clinic with housing; Holst’s portfolio of work around housing, health, and education, with Asian Health & Service Center and others; and Kubey’s design-and-health collaborations with New York City agencies. Light food and refreshments provided.
