This event is geared toward UO employees only! If you are a UO student or community member, please see our other events on October 17 and 18.

The UO Division of Equity and Inclusion is thrilled to host Pangea Playback Theatre (with Hannah Fox), a multi-cultural performance troupe that plays back life stories told by the audience on the spot. Playback Theatre, practiced in over 70 countries, merges art and social justice, and ultimately aims to build empathy and community dialogue. We are excited to share this unique, live improvisational theatre experience with you – see details below and bring a friend! Contact Abigail Leeder at aleeder@uoregon.edu if you have questions/need assistance.

Playback for Belonging: A special event for UO Employees
Walk-ins welcome, RSVP by October 2 for guaranteed lunch (lunch boxes will be provided): https://tinyurl.com/PlaybackTheatre2024

Join us for an afternoon of meaningful engagement and storytelling at the Playback Theatre for Belonging performance, designed exclusively for university employees. This interactive experience invites participants to share their life stories and experiences, which professional actors will transform into improvisational theatre. The event aims to foster a deeper sense of community and understanding in the workplace, celebrating the diverse voices and experiences that enrich our university. It's a powerful opportunity to explore themes of love, authenticity, courage, and empathy (LACE) as we reflect on our roles and relationships at work. Whether you choose to share or simply observe, this performance offers a valuable space to connect with colleagues, gain new perspectives, and strengthen our collective sense of belonging. Don't miss this enriching and unique opportunity dedicated to building a more inclusive and supportive community!
