Join the School of Journalism and Communication to celebrate our annual Ancil Payne Award for Ethics in Journalism. This year we are honoring Jim Brunner and Lewis Kamb of The Seattle Times for their work investigating the former mayor of Seattle. We will also be joined by finalist, Maye-E Wong, a photojournalist for the AP who is being recognized for her work ethically telling the stories of 21 Rohingya women and girls who witnessed the slaughter of their loved ones before they were violently raped by Myanmar soldiers.
We’ll host a panel discussion with the award winners and journalism ethics experts to be followed by a reception with light refreshments.
