Virtual EventAs the world transitioned to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, everything possible was shifted online. This included the University of Oregon's universal intervention, Get Explicit 101, focused on creating a healthy and respectful campus culture and ending sexual violence. Normally a 90-minute in-person workshop facilitated by approximately 60 facilitators, Get Explicit was transitioned onto Zoom in a 60-minute webinar and 30-minute breakout group format.
Throughout the process, the 60 facilitators were asked about their experiences. Their feedback served as the foundation of this presentation detailing their experience creating connections through online programming and the effect that their participation in Get Explicit had on their student and personal lives. Please join us as we explore what preventionists, supervisors, and students can take away from this ~unprecedented~ year of pandemic programming.
