Free EventThe Pacific Northwest Preservation Field School (PNWFS) is an annual hands-on historic preservation training event. This year, the Field School will be held at the Silver Falls Youth Camp at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon, a historic summer camp built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1938. During three one-week sessions, participants will learn how to preserve, rehabilitate, and restore historic woodwork, masonry, logwork, windows, and more. Tuition includes lodging, food, educational sessions, tours, and lectures.
The Pacific Northwest Preservation Field School is sponsored in part by the University of Oregon Historic Preservation Program, National Park Service, Oregon State Historic Preservation Office, Oregon Parks and Recreation, Washington Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, Washington State Parks, and the Idaho State Historical Society.
