OUT/LOUD Queer and Trans Womxn's Performance Fest is UO's LGBTQIA+ performance event celebrating the music, culture and art of LGBTQIA+ Women, Gender Non-Conforming, Genderqueer and Non-Binary People. OUT/LOUD features a diverse crew of locals as well as out of town artists on the Queer and Trans spectrum and from many cultures and backgrounds. This event is important to the University of Oregon’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ scene as a space where we are not only validating the work of some of some of the most underrepresented groups in art and music, but also engaging in liberating play and enjoying community. This performance event addresses the intersections of sexism, heterosexism, homophobia, transmisogyny and other systems of oppression while serving as a community-building event for LGBTQIA+ Students and their Allies. Headliner and Performance Artist Alok Vaid-Menon will present "Femme in Public" and opening act Wayside Ghost will perform original music.
