About this Event
The Student Sustainability Center is hosting a day trip to Winchester Bay on Saturday, March 4th. Our goal is to remove invasive Scotch Broom from the Oregon Dunes. Oregon dunes are unique but sadly endangered habitats that need attention, this is why the SSC is partnering with Siuslaw National Forest to remove non-native Scotch Broom from John Dellenback Trail. We will spend the day learning about dune ecosystems and participating in environmental restoration before heading back to Eugene around 3:00-4:00.
Come prepared with water, lunch, a raincoat, and closed-toe shoes, all other equipment will be provided! Transportation to and from the beach is also provided, meet at the North side of the EMU on 13th street for a 10 am departure.
There is a 10-person maximum, so sign up quickly and get ready for a great day!!
