https://mnch.uoregon.edu/Seventh-generation Indigenous basketweaver Stephanie Craig (Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde) and Dakota Zimmer (Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde) demonstrate and discuss stick and root baby baskets from the Rogue River and Umpqua region of southern Oregon. Learn about harvesting, preparation, and storage of Indigenous plants and the cultural values, lessons, and ancestral relationships that are woven into this vibrant tradition.
