Onward Career Tours-Tech Edition

Want to see what it's like to work for some of the most innovative tech companies in Oregon AND explore Eugene all at the same time?! Have we got a Friday morning (and FREE DONUTS!) for you! Hop on the bus and let’s go explore! Students will have the opportunity to tour TWO local companies passionate about creating innovative solutions for complex problems, and helping YOU learn more about all the different types of job functions needed to keep this growing industry booming. They are excited to introduce you to careers and internships at their companies, meet alumni and leaders, and show off some of their innovations in action! OUTLINE OF TOUR: Lane Transit District (LTD) will pick up students in front of Matt Knight Arena Box Office at 9am in one of their brand-new electric buses to take you around Eugene while listening & learning about the local tech landscape with Sally Bell of the Technology Association of Oregon. The stops are: SentinelOne and Palo Alto Software. While at the stops, you'll get an opportunity to tour their facilities as well as meet with leaders in the field. The bus will then return to Matt Knight Arena no later than 12:30 pm to drop everyone off.

ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION OF OREGON? TAO's mission is to create an inclusive, world-class innovation economy in Oregon and SW Washington that strengthens our regional technology industry.

WHO’S INVITED? Open to ALL students of all majors with an interest in learning more about local tech businesses and the variety of careers that support the industry. This is a great way to explore your future and practice having networking conversations with industry leaders before you interview for related jobs in the future!
