Noche de Excelencia (NDE) is an annual end-of-the year celebration at the University of Oregon hosted by the student-led organization UO Muxeres. The event highlights the achievements of Latine students through inspiring faculty speakers, award recognition, dancing, and a safe, welcoming space for all. It is an opportunity to recognize the hard work students have put in throughout the year and to celebrate the strength and diversity of the Latine community on campus.

One of the main purposes of NDE is to highlight student success. A large portion of the Latine population at UO consists of first-generation college students, meaning they are the first in their families to attend and navigate college. That said, reaching milestones such as graduation, award recognition, and completing an academic year is a strong testament to hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. NDE creates a space where all accomplishments, regardless of size, are recognized and highlighted not only at the University of Oregon but also across our larger community!
