Join the Outdoor Program at the Whypass Trail system this Saturday, March 7, for a day of fun winter mountain biking! This trip will be best suited for those who feel comfortable biking or have previous experience mountain biking. Weather is looking to be a little wet and trail conditions may be slick. Be prepared to have a big grin and get muddy! Participants should bring lunch, water, and adequate clothing. You are welcome to bring your own bike if you have one. For participants who need to rent bikes, we will have you reserve them before the trip at Pauls's Bicycle Way of Life. Bike rental prices range from $48 - $79 depending on the type of bike you want. Level 2/Level 3: (2) May be appropriate for beginners: some previous experience with the activity may be required and/or make the experience more enjoyable and successful; moderate terrain and distance; all equipment provided. (3) More advanced: previous experience doing this activity necessary; more challenging terrain, and longer; distances; all equipment provided but advanced participants are welcome to and may want to use their own gear. *You are not signed up until you pay at the Outdoor and Bike Program EMU, Room 008, or the Outdoor Program Rental Barn on 18th and University Street. Hours are M-F noon-5 p.m.
OP Membership Required: Students are already members! Non-students can purchase an annual year-to-date membership for $25 or pay a $5 day-use fee by coming into one of our above-listed locations. Non-students will also need to purchase a one-time UO Community Member Card from Card Services in the Erb Memorial Union for $10. The card and membership will enable you to access our Rental Barn for outdoor gear, the Do-It-Yourself Bike Workspace, and entry to Outdoor and Bike Program events and Common Adventure trips.
