On March 23, Oregon Governor Kate Brown issued an executive order calling for Oregonians to stay home, closing specific retail businesses, and requiring social distancing in most cases, immediately and until further notice. Social gatherings with people from outside of your household are not allowed until further notice.

Join the Holden Center to serve our Lane County community and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 20th, 2020!
Dr. King believed in a nation of freedom and justice for all, and encouraged all citizens to live up to the purpose and potential of the United States by applying the principles of nonviolence. MLK Day of Service is a federal holiday that allows us to transform his life and teachings into community action that continues to solve social problems. As Dr. King once said: "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: what are you doing for others".
Register for the Day of Service on OrgSync, and registration for specific projects will begin at 9:00 am in the GSH Great Room. We will return to campus at approximately 1:00 pm where lunch will be provided. All transportation and equipment will be provided. Remember that because this event is in January and some projects will be outdoors, it is best to dress for all weather conditions and in clothes that you are okay with getting dirty. Project registration will be on a first come basis the morning of the event, so if a specific project appeals to you, it would be wise to arrive a bit early.
