"Miaomasises" - LaVerne Krause Gallery

Thursday, January 11 at 9:00am to 6:00pm

Lawrence Hall, LaVerne Krause Gallery
1190 Franklin Boulevard, Eugene, OR

Contrary to its apparent association with mimesis, the title of the exhibition, “Miaomasises,” holds no direct semantic correlation. For reference, the Oxford Dictionary defines mimesis as a representation or imitation of the real world in art and literature. Departing from pure visual representation in art, the exhibited works walk in tandem between a diverse array of subject matter. “Miaomasises” invites you to immerse yourself in the unique experience each artist has created for the exhibition and consider the dialogue between reality and interpretation.
