The UO Women’s Center proudly invites you to our annual Lyllye B. Parker Black, Indigenous and Women of Color Speaker Series taking place on Monday, February 5th from 6-8pm in the EMU Ballroom featuring *MS. LYLLYE B. PARKER* herself!

This educational and celebratory event will not only address the themes of BIPOC Girlhood and Childhood, but will also showcase the legacy of one of the most beloved women and mentors to so many in Lane County and The University of Oregon.

Trailblazer and longtime local advocate for Students of Color and other Marginalized Communities at The University of Oregon, Ms. Parker will address the intersections of oppression faced on individual, institutional and societal levels - as well as the juxtaposition of Radical Joy as an act of Resistance and Sustenance for us all.

Attendees will have the opportunity to bear witness to the hard work, dedication, endurance, strength, beauty, love and admiration Ms. Parker has experienced thus far in her incredible life.

Following an International Dinner provided by local Black Woman owned business, Alma Catering, Ms. Parker will engage in a lively Fireside Chat with WC Racial Justice Coordinator Danaya Lowe and other UO Students on the EMU Ballroom stage.
