Please join members of the Lundquist College of Business for a lunch chat about Oregon Saves, a revolutionary policy decision in retirement planning.
In 2017, Oregon became the first state to standardize how private sector employees automatically save without access to traditional employer-sponsored plans. The program has gained national attention in the NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, and various other news outlets. Other states have followed our lead.
Joel Metlen from the Oregon State Treasury will discuss the policy outcomes thus far and ways for students to get involved both financially and professionally. This is an especially an interesting topic for students who are interested in the field of wealth management or just curious about retirement planning. The event will start at 11:45 a.m. in Chiles 125 and will include boxed lunches for those who RSVP in advance. We hope you will join us to learn more about this exciting program!
RSVP by Thursday, January 10 to have your lunch included in the food order.
