Virtual EventLorraine O’Grady: Both/And
is the first full-career retrospective of an artist who has been at the heart of developments in performance, conceptual photography, and feminist art since 1980. Co-curator Aruna D’Souza will discuss the importance of O’Grady’s work and the implications of the show for those thinking about Black subjectivity, the entrenched segregation of the art world, the relationship between self and history, and apolitics of engagement in contemporary art.
