The UO Law School hosted john a. powell, professor of law, African American studies, and ethnic studies, for the annual Derrick Bell Lecture on February 13, 2018. His lecture discussed modern day constitutional dilemmas arising from the clash between fundamentally important free speech principles and the potential harms of speech. Watch the lecture.

Yes, I would love to see this event offered again. I think planned lecture topic is extremely important to consider in our country at this time, and I would love to listen to Prof. Powell. I won't be able to attend this evening, so I am doubly interested in seeing it offered again.
