About this Event
The American Liszt Society - Oregon Chapter is proud to announce the "Liszt Masterclass Series". This new series will be the first of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, and one of the first in the West Coast. The series will feature a guest professor teaching through the Disklavier technology, hence allowing for the sound to come through an acoustic piano and not through a screen.
The series will feature three masterclasses per year -- once each term, and will only feature the music of Franz Liszt. All events will be live-streamed on Facebook. The inaugural event will be on Wednesday, March 10th, at 12:00 pm (PST) with Frederic Chiu (Carnegie Mellon University, The Hartt School in Hartford, CT). In the spring we will present our second masterclass on June 2nd, at 12:00 pm (PST) with Cathal Breslin (Arizona State University).
