In collaboration with Black Studies and in honor of Black History Month, the Department of Linguistics will host the 2nd of two film screenings with discussion to follow with Dr. Rachel Weissler and Dr. Shiloh Drake.
Film begins at 5:30p at Straub Hall Rm 145, refreshments will be provided.
Thursday, Feb 23 @ 5:30p: SIGNING BLACK IN AMERICA is the first documentary about Black ASL: the unique dialect of American Sign Language (ASL) that developed within historically segregated African American Deaf communities.
