Oregon Bach Festival presents Let's Talk! "On the Gospel of John, the Music of Bach, and Antisemitism"

Join a panel of OBF artists and experts as we discuss the themes and challenges of Bach's St. John Passion.

  • Leah Burian, recent graduate of Clark Honors College, UO
  • Abigail Fine, Assistant Professor of Musicology, UO
  • David Gordon, performer, lecturer, author of The Little Bach Book, former soloist at Oregon Bach Festival
  • Deborah Green, Greenberg Associate Professor, Hebrew Language & Literature, Department of Religious Studies, UO
  • Moderated by Brian McWhorter, professor of music at UO, music director for Eugene Ballet and Orchestra Next

In accordance with state mandates, as of 6/14/22, OBF performance spaces do not require face masks, proof of vaccination, or negative COVID test for entry. However, given the rise in Lane County COVID cases, the University of Oregon recommends individuals wear masks indoors when around other people. These policies are subject to change as the Festival progresses.
