Loss of urban ecological land in China has become a serious issue. In this lecture, Dr. Hong Mei aims to introduce the practice of urban ecological land protection in China from a legal and regulatory perspective. Through examing three case studies, Dr. Mei will reveal the serious deconstruction of urban ecological land in China.

Dr. Mei’s work focuses on illustrating the necessity and urgency of establishing a legal and regulatory system for urban ecological land protection in China. In addition, he will also define what conditions need to exist in order to construct a urban ecological land protection legal system.
