https://www.eventbrite.com/e/innovation-panel-discussion-luncheon-tickets-51416518190As part of UO Startup Week, the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact and the Office of the Vice President of Research and Innovation will host a luncheon panel discussion with UO faculty who are actively engaged in the impact cycle, moving academic research findings into the commercial arena, and in some cases back to academic research laboratories.
Panelists will include Bob Guldberg (vice president and executive director of the Knight Campus), Janis Weeks (professor emerita of biology, and co-founder and chief global health officer of NemaMetrix), Michael Marusich (former UO researcher, founder of mAbDx, Inc., and cofounder of MitoSciences), and Eric Johnson (associate professor of biology and member of the Institute of Molecular Biology), and will be moderated by Andrew Nelson (associate professor of management, Stewart Distinguished Professor, associate vice president for entrepreneurship and innovation, and academic director of the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship).
Join us for a lively discussion on how to leverage the relationship between research and commercial engagement while enjoying a catered lunch. Please register to reserve your seat in order to provide an accurate headcount for catering.
