Duck Trails Summer Camps is proud to introduce our inaugural Junior Counselor program. Designed for high school aged teens, this program offers an exciting opportunity to start professional development at a young age. Duck Trails Junior Counselors will learn about youth behavior management and safety techniques as they develop responsible and proactive supervision skills. Throughout the program, they will learn and incorporate leadership skills, participate in team building activities, and improve communication skills while engaging in a fun, high-energy work experience with like-minded people.

Junior Counselors are required to attend one week of training, which includes CPR and First Aid Certification, and volunteer one week alongside a full-time counselor in one of our various camp groups. After the initial training period, Junior Counselors are welcome to volunteer for additional weeks subsequently. Previous experience volunteering with youth is not required. Prior to registering, prospective Junior Counselors must submit an application which is available for download March 5 and due back May 31.
