Introduction to Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation (GTFF) and GTFF Health Insurance Information Session

Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10:00am to 11:30am

Prince Lucien Campbell Hall (PLC), 180
1415 Kincaid Street, Eugene, OR

The Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation (American Federation of Teachers Local 3544) is the democratic, member-run union representing graduate employees’ at UO since 1976. Through the GTFF, GEs work collectively to improve living and working conditions for GEs, negotiate the collective bargaining agreement (i.e., your labor contract) between GTFF and UO, and advocate for our students and the community. UO and GTFF will enter into negotiations for a new contract this academic year.

Join your fellow GEs to learn critically important information about:

  • Your union and why your participation is critical to the success of all GEs at UO. Meet some of your GE colleagues from departments across UO.
  • Your union contract, which contains all the rights, benefits, pay and workplace protections that GTFF has secured for all GEs over the last five decades.
  • Your union-negotiated and -administered health insurance – one of the finest, most affordable graduate employee health insurance plans in the country! Learn how the plan works, what’s covered, what it costs, and how to enroll.
