Join us for an Intro to Kink worskshop presented by As You Like It, a local gender-inclusive pleasure shop. This event will cover the basics of consensual kink practices and alternative sexualities. As You Like It provide a safe, inclusive space for people to explore or learn about kink in a respectful, informed manner. 

The presentation will include:

Definitions and Terminology: Clarifying what kink means and introducing key terms like BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, and masochism), role-play, and other specific practices.

Consent and Communication: Emphasizing the importance of clear communication, boundaries, and informed consent in all activities. Discussing negotiation, safe words, and ensuring all parties are comfortable with activities.

Safety Considerations: Covering physical and emotional safety, including the use of safe words, aftercare, and understanding the risks involved in certain practices (e.g., bondage, impact play).

Types of Kink: An overview of different aspects of kink, such as power dynamics (e.g., Dominant/submissive), sensation play, role-playing, and fetishes.

Debunking Myths and Stigma: Addressing common misconceptions and stigma around kink and exploring how people can express their desires in healthy, consensual ways.

Resources and Community: Sharing resources for further learning and connecting with the kink community, such as online forums, local events, and organizations.
