Interrupting Oppression in Everyday Situations

Friday, November 17, 2017 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm

White Stag Block, Pape Forum, floor 3R
70 NW Couch Street, Portland, OR 97209

Please RSVP to enjoy free pizza and Join the award-winning graduate student theater troupe "Rehearsals for Life" for a lively and interactive discussion about how we can engage in difficult conversations around issues of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, religion, or age differences.

"I appreciated the personal stories...their vulnerability caught the attention of the crowd and provided a deeper meaning and experience...they were well spoken and engaging."

When we hear statements that bother us but don't know what to do or say, we often walk away feeling bad that we didn't do something.

This workshop will use interactive theatre techniques and meaningful conversations to facilitate a space where all participants learn from one another’s ideas, perspectives, and experiences.

Walk away better prepared and more confident to confront difficult dialogues in your personal and professional life.
