The Student Life WE Engagement Team is thrilled to announce a new WE initiative, the “How I Got Here” speaker series. Bring your lunch and come to listen and engage! Once a term, we will feature a staff leader in a given area from around the UO. They will share their journey to their present position, their leadership philosophy, and lessons learned throughout their career. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the speaker and ask questions about career, leadership, or whatever else comes to mind. Our first speaker will be Jennifer Espinola.
Jennifer Espinola currently serves as Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Law Dean of Students for the University of Oregon School of Law – she joined the team in 2013. Her role keeps her focused on the personal and professional success of students and her background in leadership education supports her mission. Prior to coming to the UO, Jennifer worked for 15 years in various roles in student affairs including leadership development, civic education, fraternity and sorority life, student government advising, conduct, and honor council.
Jennifer received her of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. She is a spirited traveler, a proud LEGO enthusiast, and she loves a good Karaoke night. Her two Whoodle puppies keep her busy at home, along with her passion for cooking and entertaining.
Please join us on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 12:00PM – 1:00PM in the 023 Lease Crutcher Lewis Room, EMU
